Here at Welshpool Baptist Church, we believe that
mission is an important area of church growth. We are associated with the BMS and their work in other countries
We are actively seeking to promote the work of the BMS in
our area.
There are many ways of supporting the work of the BMS, one of which is simply by saving your used postage
stamps, cutting around them while still attached to
the envelope leaving approximately a 5mm border, and
forwarding to us at Chelsea Lane. We then forward them
on to our representative. Many thousands of pounds a
year can be collected in this way. Another way of
supporting the work of the BMS, is to join the Birthday scheme. This simply means
that on your birthday, you will receive a birthday card
from the BMS (your local representative) with a gift envelope enclosed.
The idea is to give a gift rather than receive
one. The monies collected from this goes to the medical
side of the BMS work.
We also support the local work of the Impact Schools Team. Our secretary, Roger, until recently, droves the double-decker which is kitted out for a modern media experience. He has also helped Darren Mayor with the teaching side on the bus. Rob, our worship leader, is on the Trustee committee team which gives Darren the support He needs. Please pray for this vital youth mission work within our schools.
Prayer points:
Please see Prayer diary for schools and dates.
Please continue to pray for an openness to Darren and the work.
Please pray for safety and for the family.
